WAKE AGENT 0.4.1 - INTERNAL WINDOWS TEST

Windows x64. Self-contained: no .NET SDK or runtime installation required.
This preview is unsigned. It runs in your signed-in Windows session, not as
a system service. Basic Wake-on-LAN remains available without the agent.

INSTALL
1. Extract the ZIP into a folder. Run Install-WakeAgent.cmd.
2. Confirm per-user installation and choose whether to start at sign-in.
3. The optional Windows firewall rule requires your administrator approval.
It permits only this executable, TCP 49270/49271, Private/Domain profiles,
and LocalSubnet. The installer does not change your network profile.
4. Open Wake Agent from Start. In Settings, select the physical Ethernet/Wi-Fi adapter
configured for Wake-on-LAN and choose Start / Change adapter.

PAIR YOUR PHONE
Install the current Wake beta for iPhone or Android supplied by NAI Systems.
Android requires the agent-enabled 1.5.0 build 5 or later; use its APK only
after the build is marked finished. Expo Go cannot run the native agent client.
Keep both devices on the same trusted LAN, with the PC awake and signed in.
Choose Pair a phone in Windows. Scan the QR using your phone camera and open
Wake, or paste the invitation into Wake's Pair Windows Agent screen.
Submit pairing on the phone, then approve it in the Windows window.
You may switch to Remote Desktop on this same phone to approve. Return to
Wake within five minutes; it retrieves the approval automatically.
For an existing computer, open Edit computer > Pair Windows agent.
Do not force-quit Wake or restart the agent during pairing; if either
process restarts, create a fresh invitation. Existing saved pairings persist.
Choose the phone's allowed actions on the PC; none are granted by default.
Save the returned computer details on the phone. Its MAC is filled for you.
An existing computer with the same MAC can be updated without losing basic Wake.

FIRST TEST
Open Power controls and refresh status. Confirm name, address and permissions.
Only when ready, try Lock with a saved Windows session you can unlock locally.
Each power action requires confirmation and waits 5 seconds in this beta; Cancel is
available on the phone and PC while pending. Test sleep/wake, restart and
shutdown only after saving work. The agent reports OS acceptance, not proof
that shutdown or sleep completed. Initial iPhone pairing, sleep-to-Wake and
restart tests passed. Android handset tests remain pending. Hibernate-to-Wake
remains unresolved. Save work before testing any power action.

OPTIONAL CLOUD STATUS AND HISTORY
Local Wake and local agent pairing do not need an account or cloud invitation.
For cloud history, obtain a private beta invitation from NAI Systems. In
Windows Agent Settings, paste it and choose Use invitation. Enable sharing
on Overview and wait for Cloud status synced. On home Wi-Fi, open Controls
on the paired phone and refresh once to receive its own cloud credentials.
Then test remote status/history over mobile data. Reports show their age;
Unknown does not prove that a PC is powered off.
After sync, use Save cloud recovery key in Settings. Store the exported file
privately somewhere accessible without this PC. Never share it with testers.
Each tester should receive their own cloud invitation for their own PC.
Cloud status does not wake a sleeping PC or deliver remote power commands.
Wake over the internet requires a separate working router delivery path.

OPERATION / LIMITS
Closing the window leaves the tray agent running; Quit stops it.
Pause disables local agent controls. Revoke removes a phone's local access
immediately; cloud access is revoked after the next successful cloud sync.
Power controls stop at sign-out; startup resumes at next sign-in if enabled.
There is no service before sign-in or automatic agent updater yet.
If the PC address changes, restart on the correct adapter and pair again.
No BIOS, adapter power settings or Windows network profiles are changed.
If Windows blocks this unsigned build, review it before deciding to run it;
do not disable Windows security protections.

UPDATE / REMOVE
Quit Wake Agent from the tray before installing a replacement.
Uninstall via Windows Installed apps or the Start-menu uninstall shortcut.
Removing its firewall rule may request administrator approval.
Uninstall keeps pairing data in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NAI Systems\WakeAgent.
Revoke phones before uninstalling if you do not want to retain their access.
Uninstalling does not delete cloud registration or previously uploaded history.
Use the saved recovery file and the cloud recovery page linked from Wake's
Setup & privacy guide to permanently disable cloud registration if needed.
